WORD
The Pauline Fathers, also known as the Order of Saint Paul the First Hermit (OSPPE), is a Catholic monastic order established in Hungary in the 13th century. The order draws its name from Saint Paul of Thebes, a hermit canonized by Pope Gelasius I in 491. The Monastery of Saint Paul the Anchorite, founded in his honor after his passing, remains in existence and continues to follow his example.
