WORD
The Livenza River, known as Liquentia in Latin, Livence in Friulian, and Łivensa in Venetian, winds through the Italian provinces of Pordenone, Treviso, and Venice. Originating near Polcenigo and Caneva in Pordenone, it meanders southeastward, passing by Sacile and serving as a dividing line between the provinces of Pordenone and Treviso, roughly between Brugnera and Motta di Livenza. Continuing its southeasterly course, it remains a border between Treviso and Venice before entering the province of Venice near Santo Stino di Livenza. Flowing close to La Salute di Livenza, it ultimately reaches the Adriatic Sea's embrace near Caorle.
