War Memorial Chuncheon
This monument is dedicated to those decorated veterans who rendered distinguished services while participating in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. The purposes of its presence here are to learn from and uphold their noble patriotism, impress people with the importance of national security, and offer an inspiring representation of our national spirit and honor. The monument was built on October 2, 2003 with the generous and heartfelt donations from the citizens of Chuncheon and the Gangwon-do Branch members of the Korean Association of Decorated Veterans in the Peace Park on the side of Soyanggang River where a great victory was won during the Korean War. The blood and sweat of those war veterans and their noble national spirit will remain forever enshrined in our hearts and minds with this monument, serving as a light to defend this country and guide its people.
