This memorial Monument commemorates the 17,274 brave young patriots who dedicated their lives to the anti-communist movement since the liberation of Korea on August 15, 1945. They joined the young patriots organization contributing to the foundation of the Republic of Korea by fighting against the opposition of communists and sacrificed their lives for defending their people when the North Korean regime invaded South Korea on June 25, 1950. This monument was erected by the surviving members of the movement on June 25, 1969. It is not just a stone, but the heart of anti-communists fighters. You can feel the heartbeat and the breath of our young patriots. The young blood! Take a moment and feel their spirit! Here is sacred ground.
