This bridge connects the largest island on Lake Alūksne - Castle Island to that part of the town that was once the grounds of the castle. In order to hold the Song Festival on the island, the bridge was built during the Soviet period by local residents and opened in 1948. Subsequently, it was twice rebuilt, before being fully restored in 2007. Bridge length: 70 metres, width: 6 metres. To confirm that the bridge has long been a symbol of harmonious relationships, the restored bridge was consecrated by the Dean of Saint Boniface Roman Catholic Church, and the pastor of Alūksne's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
