The swinging pedestrian bridge over the castle canal is a technical monument. It was built in 1855. The Chain Bridge is still functioning today. When strolling along the Dane (Dange) bank, you will easily reach the Cruise Ship Terminal. Once the bridge is swung, ships and yachts can enter and leave the Castle Port. The swinging Chain Bridge is the only such mechanism in Lithuania. Human force of only two persons is used to swing the bridge.
