Portland Building
The Portland Building is one of the first examples of postmodern architecture at the commercial scale. Designed in 1979 by Michael Graves, construction commenced in 1980 with a grand opening in 1982. From the very start, the building represented controversy – in the architecture community and throughout the city of Portland.
