The Mosque of Sultan Mehmed Fatih, or The Mosque of Fet'hije, is an Ottoman era mosque built before 1481. It is near the entrance of Krujë Castle and the Skanderbeg Museum. The mosque is named after Turkish Sultan Mehmed II. After being destroyed in 1831, the mosque was rebuilt for the local Albanian population under the rule of Sultan Mahmud II. In 1917, the minaret of the mosque was destroyed in the climatic conditions. Until 1937, the mosque was used as a house of worship for Albanian Muslims.
