Forty Saints Monastery
The Monastery of 40 Saints is located east of the city of Saranda on the top of Gjashta Hill and on its most dominant part. The Monastery is of Late Antiquity, 6th century. Its dimensions are 40 meters length x 24 meters width. The above-ground floor consists of large halls, had seven spse and two narthex, three large doors and two rows of windows were built into the facade. On the underground floor galleries are stored (parishes), vaulted galleries, double vaults, the Byzantine frescoes, water tankers, and graves.
