The Japanese 58th Bank, headquartered in Osaka, Japan, set up its branch in Incheon in 1892. Its branch offices were also established in Busan and Seoul, in 1893 and 1895, respectively, and they mainly focused on trade finance as a part of Japan's economic invasion of Korea. This French-style brick building was constructed in 1892. Its first floor has a stone foundation, and the second floor is decorated with a balcony. After the liberation of Korea in 1945, the building was used by a Korean bank and the Korean Red Cross. It is currently used by the Incheon Restaurant Business Association.
