Halveti Tekke
The Halveti Tekke is part of the socio-religious complex which includes the King Mosque, the dervish guest houses and the tekke of Sheh Qerimi. The current building, which belongs to a reconstruction of the second half of the XVIII century, testifies to a high construction activity in the city of Berat in that period. In the center of the composition is the prayer hall, on the south side a burial environment (tomb room) and a portico on the west side. The prayer hall is square on the south and on the east and north side has the woman praying room in the form of a balcony which leads out with a pair of sloping stairs, inside the portico. Its interior treatment is quite rich with paintings and inscriptions on the walls as well as a ceiling carved in wood and painted.
