The Clock Tower, known as the English Clock, is the most peculiar sight of the city of Shkodër. The Tower was built in 1868 by an English protestant evangelical missionary, Lord Paget, who wanted to use it as a church. After his death, the house became a fire watchtower because it was taller than most of the other buildings in the town.
