The church was built in the early 14th century and underwent extensive restoration in 1527, carried out by architect Pietro da Spilimbergo and stone carver Matteo da Serravalle. It took on its present appearance after renovations in the 18th century. This single-nave church has a gabled facade and a small rose window. Inside, the walls and the entrance to the chance sport one of the largest collections of medieval frescoes in Friuli: the characters depicted include a Madonna, a Christ Pantocrator, and dozens of Saints, both male and female. The fresco masters had different levels of expertise and worked at different times, mainly throughout the 14th century until the early 15th century. In 1507, Gianfrancesco da Tolmezzo painted one of the frescoes at the entrance of the chancel, depicting Abraham Smashing the Idols, as well as the main altarpiece. The church currently houses a copy, the original being kept at the Public Art Museum in Pordenone. A particularly noteworthy feature is the large Friulian school wooden rood cross above the entrance to the chance, which dates back to the 15th century. Equally remarkable are the two side altars with their respective altarpieces: the Redeemer and the Virgin and Child with Saints. The church is also home to some tombstones of noblemen and priests (16th-19th century), a 16th-century holy water font and, in the sacristy, a stone laver, dated 1521.
