The church is located in the heart of Pustec village main square and represents the biggest cult object and most beautiful church in the area. It was built on the site of an older Byzantine church dating back from 1754 and destroyed in a fire in 1865. During communism, this place has functioned as the palace of culture. After 1990, the church was rebuilt from bricks and raw stone, according to a project proposed by the architect Pascal Z. Todor.
