The church, dedicated to the patron saint of plague-infected, disabled, and prisoners, is documented in a testament from Piran dating back to 1557. Its current Baroque form dates to the 17th century. Featuring a single nave adorned with ceiling moulding decoration and a central painting, the church culminates in a semi-circular apse housing a round window from 1649. The dominant feature is a stone altar crafted by Giovanni Battista Bettini, a stonemason and sculptor from Pordenone, in the 18th century. Adorning the altar are three wooden statues—depicting Holy Mother Mary, St. Rocco, and St. Sebastian—originally painted in white to resemble marble. These were crafted by Michele Fanoli in 1729. A gold-plated baldachin, created by the Piran workshop Zarotti in the late 19th century, hangs above the altar. Additionally, a holy water font made from Vrsar/Orsera stone, commissioned by the St. Rocco Brotherhood in 1662, stands next to the entrance.
