Snelli tiik is an artificial water body pond formed from the defensive structure (moat) of Toompea Castle, located in Toompark (Dome Park) in Tallinn's old town. The pond was formed from the moat that surrounded the Toompea Castle, which was designed in the 19th century after the Tallinn Fortress lost its military importance as part of the parks and green areas surrounding the Old Town of Tallinn .
