Situated in front of the 'Dănărea de Jos' University, close to the Galați City Hall, stands the statue of the Lupa Capitolina. This monument is a replica crafted by sculptor Gheorghe Terescenco in 1992, inspired by the Bucharest version, which, in itself, is a reproduction of the original Lupa Capitolina statue in Rome.
