Piran's renowned city lodge. The current Coastal Gallery occupies the location where the old town loggia once stood. It was linked on one side to the Town Hall and on the other to the Church of St. James. According to the city statutes dating back to 1384, the lodge served as the office for cadavers, entrusted with municipal property oversight.
