Père-Lachaise cemetery is one of the world's most visited burial grounds. Located in Paris, it's many tombs are also the final resting places of some famous people, such as Oscar Wilde, Jim Morrison, and Édith Piaf to name a few. It has long been a popular place for tourists to visit, and now wildlife is making its way back as well. Nature has been taking back the cemetery after a plan to phase out pesticides and allow the cemetery to become a 'green lung' of Paris, a dense city wanting to be become more climate friendly. Also across France cemeteries are starting to become more 'eco-friendly'. Initially there was some doubt but the initiative has become accepted and well liked for a number of reasons, particularly the increase in bird and animal life.
