Per an old Albanian legend, a very beautiful bride from Albanian lands was forced without her consent to an arranged marriage. As the bride was being accompanied by the groom's relatives across the village, the bride begged them to take her back home. The relatives ignored the bride and kept walking. As desperate as the bride was, unconsciously she starts praying to the Canyon Rock saying 'Oh magnificent rock, I beg you to open up and swallow me, so I become free of this great burden in my soul'. The flock heard her plea and all of a sudden a large hole appeared in the heart of it. The bride immediately jumped from the horse into the rock hiding her away forever. This is exactly why this place has historically been known as the 'Bride's Hole'. Over the years, astonished by the curiosity of the hole, many young brides entered in the hole with their clothes in reverse made in the hopes of getting pregnant. Once inside, they took their clothes off and put them on again in the proper way. After the ritual, the brides would immediately go back home accompanied by good energy in fulfilling their wish.
