Litingina
On March 3rd, 2021, insurgents employed their roadblock tactics to launch an attack on a military convoy traveling along the R763 route from Nangade town to Mueda. The assault occurred close to Litingina, approximately 10 kilometers south of Nangade town. The insurgents obstructed the road with logs and initiated gunfire as the vehicle neared their position. Responding swiftly, the soldiers aboard retaliated using a rocket-propelled grenade and managed to break through the roadblock. Tragically, three soldiers lost their lives in the exchange, including a lieutenant colonel and two enlisted personnel.
