Completed in 2013 after topping out in 2010, the tower is privately owned by Daro Saifuddin Yaquob and serves as a 224-room hotel. Its design draws inspiration from the iconic Elizabeth Tower, commonly known as Big Ben, in London, earning it the nickname 'Big Ben of Dubai.' Despite its resemblance to Big Ben and the neighboring Gevora Hotel, the Al Yaqoub Tower does not feature a clock face.
