Jeondong Catholic Church
It is a cathedral built outside the Pungnam Gate where the Catholic believers were persecuted. This cathedral was designed and directed by Poisnel, a French Catholic priest, and completed in 1914. This building made of gray and red bricks is similar in appearance to Myeongdong Cathedral and considered one of the most beautiful early Catholic churches in Seoul. The building blends Byzantine and Romanesque styles and is highly regarded as one of the most beautiful buildings in Korea.
