In the northernmost part of the city, at the foot of Kruja Mountain, is located one of the many old cobbled paths of Kruja. It begins in the upper part of Kruja, in the neighborhood of varosh, and ends at the Temple of Sari Salltik at the top of Kruja Mountain. This road is cobbled with a width of 1.5 to 2 meters and its many curves and twists make it quite scenic. For its construction, local limestone was used and it is well-known for the use of large-scale generic stones to soften the slope. This cobblestone path is thought to have been built with the contribution of Ali Pasha Tepelena. The well-known Krujan dervish Baba Shememi Babai invited two of the most famous Albanian Pashas, Ali Pasha Tepelena and Karamahmut Pasha Bushatelliun, to the temple of Sari Salltik to link an alliance between them, building the Albanian state. Unfortunately, this alliance was never realized. During this visit to Sari Salltik, Ali Pasha Tepelena enjoyed the country however, which made him contribute to the construction of this mountain path.
