Piran Town Hall
In the late 13th century, the Venetians constructed the Town Hall outside the existing town walls. The architecture followed a Roman-Gothic style, showcasing a facade adorned with embedded coats of arms and inscriptions. Fast forward to the late 19th century, a new Town Hall emerged on Tartini Square. Its notable feature was a stone lion statue clutching an open book, symbolizing the Venetian Serenissima Republic and the previous town hall. Inside, on the first floor, a hall was dedicated to Domenico Tintoretto, housing his significant artwork titled 'Mary with a Child and the Dignitaries of Piran.'.
