Holdfast, a village in Saskatchewan, Canada, is situated within the Rural Municipality of Sarnia No. 221 and Census Division No. 6. Located 2 km east of Highway 2 on Highway 732, it lies approximately 97.6 km northwest of Regina. The first settlers arrived in 1904, establishing themselves on the west side of Long Lake. When the Canadian Pacific Railway sought to build on the east side in 1910, they encountered resistance from landowner John A. Fahlman. Fahlman refused to sell his land to the railway, forcing the line to be constructed on the west side of the village. His steadfastness led to the village being named Holdfast. The village was officially incorporated on October 5, 1911.
According to the 2021 Census, Holdfast had a population of 173, a 30% decrease from 2016, with a population density of 131.1/km² over a land area of 1.32 km².
