Data Point related to: ELEMENT
First reported in 1458, but probably older, the church consists of a unique small rectangular nave. It houses a fine 16th century marble altar, with statues of Venetian origin (Sansovino's style), a 'Madonna with Child between St Anthony the Abbot and St Anthony from Padua' by Gio Batta Tosolini (1778), a 17th century 'Madonna of the Rosary with Saints and Joyful Mysteries', probably by Pietro Feltrin and three 20th century paintings by Giuseppe Modolo, one of which portrays the 1945 tragic fire started by the Nazi that destroyed some of the village houses. The nearby belfry was built between 1953 and 1957.
