Holy Trinity Church - Radoviš

Consecrated on October 12, 2003, the vast Holy Trinity Orthodox Church is worth a look inside if you're in the area. Financed by the Macedonian businessman Risto Gusterov in an unusual act of patronage, the building serves as a potent symbol of the current Macedonian revival of its old spiritual traditions. It was built between 1997 and 2003 and features designs both inside and out by the Ukrainian painter Anatolij Gajdanaka. The church is a single-nave structure with a cross plan and a vaulted dome partly designed in the Byzantine style. Its icons are by Kalchev of Gevgelija, and the frescoes are the work of world-famous Ukrainian masters: Dimitri Nagurni, Vladimir Nedajborch, Viktor Blinov, Jura Levchenko, Vladimir Cach, Vladimir Bovhun, Larisa Mishchenko, and Ljuszko. The combination of these artistic elements enhances the overall beauty of the Holy Trinity Church.
