At first the manor complex, built in 1857, stood alone in the middle of city meadows. The Late-Classicist blockhouse with semi-hipped roof has profiled planking, front side colonnade and a circular access way in front of the main building. In 1867, the complex was bought by O. v. Bööcke and the group of buildings is still known as his summer manor (Bööckenhof). The buildings were reconstructed in the second half of the 19th century according to the designs by Hugo von Wolffeldt. This was also the place of residence of Raymond von Bööcke, Estonia's best-known cello artist.
