Kisha e Shën Kollit - Berat Castle
Archaeological excavations have discovered that the church walls have been built in the XVI century. This has also been proved by the inscription of the year 1591 found on the painting on the northern door. The church has a rectangular plan and is composed by the naos, the altar alcove and the trihedral apse. Inside the church is a capital reused as an altar for the church services and which is an element of paleochristian architecture. The church has been painted from inside by Onufër Qiprioti (Onouphrios Cypriotes). The upper part near the ceiling, the prophets have been painted. On the second belt of frescoes have been painted Bible scenes and in the lower belt have been painted the martyrs and apostles. On the sides of the church are parts of two ruined paraclesis. One paraclise was named after Saint Anastasius and the other after Saint Thomas.
