Data Point related to: CITY/TOWN
A case file made public by the Dutch National Archive contains a hand drawn map that supposedly shows the Dutch village of Ommeren as the location of hidden riches reportedly worth millions of dollars. Documents released tell the story of a bank being hit by a bomb during WWII and a few occupying German soldiers took what they could collect such as gold watches, gems, jewelry etc. Later in the war when German troops were retreating supposedly the treasure was buried. Some residents of Ommeren are expressing frustration and safety concerns because since the release of the map/documents many people have been coming to look for the potential treasure digging holes and invading people's privacy.
