The Skenduli house is one of few houses which have kept the original paintings on the exterior façade. As you enter to visit the Skenduli house, you will be surprised by the diversity of the living spaces and their decorations, which appear as mural paintings or carvings of the wooden elements in the interior. Traces of lions and floral compositions are still visible on the façades of both wings, while of particular interest is the painting showing a hunter targeting a roe deer, a wild animal associated with the cult of the sun. The decoration in wood prevails in the interiors, although the fireplace in the guest room, decorated with floral paintings dominate the most beautiful space of the house. On all these steep and towering hill-sides stand three-storied houses, ten windows broad across the front, with projecting wings, deep balcony between, eaves so broad that they are strutted out from the walls, each house surrounded by its own walled grounds.
