On the first floor of the Mesrobovich House, a collection of 1,150 graphic works created by renowned Mexican artists and generously donated by the Government of Mexico to commemorate the 1,300th anniversary of the Bulgarian state, is proudly exhibited. Additionally, visitors can explore Mexican crafts, musical instruments, as well as replicas of stone sculptures and ceramics. On the second floor, a permanent exhibition showcases 60 works by Tsanko Lavrenov (1896-1978), a prominent Bulgarian artist. Mexican culture, rooted in an ancient civilization, has had a profound influence on contemporary art. Mexican graphic art, with its socially significant themes and technical mastery, played a pivotal role in democratizing art, shaping aesthetic taste, and instilling national confidence, as exemplified by the extensive collection of over 1,300 graphic works housed in the first fully-supplied art gallery outside Mexico. This collection represents the evolution of Mexican graphic art, from its origins with José Guadalupe Posada to its connection with social movements and later international recognition, serving as a rich testament to the cultural heritage of Mexico.
