Architect
Moshe Safdie (July 14, 1938) is an architect, urban planner, educator, theorist, and author renowned for his focus on socially responsible design over his six-decade career. His work spans cultural, educational, and civic institutions, neighborhoods, public parks, housing, mixed-use urban centers, airports, and master plans for both existing communities and entirely new cities across the Americas, the Middle East, and Asia. Safdie is best known for projects like Marina Bay Sands, Jewel Changi Airport, and his first major work, Habitat 67, initially developed as his thesis at McGill University. He holds citizenship in Israel, Canada, and the United States.
