Architect
Miklós Ybl was a prominent architect of the 19th century, notably in Hungary. His renowned work includes the Hungarian State Opera House in Budapest. He began with Romantic-style projects, later embracing Italian Renaissance and neo-Renaissance styles. His significant creations, like Saint Stephen's Basilica and Rác Thermal Bath, shape Budapest's cityscape. Ybl's legacy is honored through the annual architectural prize named after him. 2014 was dedicated as "Ybl Memorial Year" in Hungary.
