Architect
Josip Slade (Trogir , March 23, 1828 - Trogir , June 15, 1911) was a Croatian builder and architect. He was educated in Split and Padua, where he obtained a doctorate in philosophy, and then completed studies in construction and engineering. Among his architectural works, the most significant are: the theater building in Šibenik, the Moretti Palace on Čiovo, numerous roads and bridges in Boka Kotor and Montenegro. He also participated in the restoration of some Renaissance palaces in his native Trogir.
