Businessman Politician
Constantin Mimi, a Bessarabian politician and vintner from a noble family, held significant roles during political upheavals. Educated at Odessa State University and SupAgro in Montpellier, he assumed governance in Bessarabia following the February Revolution, becoming the Commissar of the Provisional Government. Mimi fiercely opposed Bessarabia's annexation by the Ukrainian Central Rada and faced replacement by Ion Inculeţ orchestrated by Alexander Kerenski. Post-Bessarabian Union with Romania, Mimi relocated to Bucharest, assuming the directorship of the National Bank of Romania.
