Company Conglomerate
LVMH, known as LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, is a French multinational conglomerate specializing in luxury goods and headquartered in Paris. It was established in 1987 through the fusion of the renowned fashion house Louis Vuitton, originating in 1854, with Moët Hennessy, formed from the merger in 1971 between champagne producer Moët & Chandon, established in 1743, and cognac producer Hennessy, founded in 1765. In April 2023, LVMH achieved a historic milestone, becoming the first European company to surpass a valuation of $500 billion. Managing a portfolio of 75 prestigious brands through approximately 60 subsidiaries, LVMH controls notable names such as Tiffany & Co., Christian Dior, Fendi, Givenchy, and more. These brands fall under six distinct branches: Fashion Group, Wines and Spirits, Perfumes and Cosmetics, Watches and Jewelry, Selective Distribution, and Other Activities. Additionally, LVMH oversees Les Echos-Le Parisien Group, its media subsidiary. Notably, the wine estate Château d'Yquem, tracing its origins to 1593, is part of LVMH's ownership. At the helm of LVMH stands Bernard Arnault, serving as the chairman and CEO.
