Holy Trinity Anglican Church is a historic Carpenter Gothic-style building situated along the banks of the Churchill River in Stanley Mission, part of the Lac La Ronge First Nation and Lac La Ronge Provincial Park in Saskatchewan, Canada.Designed by Rev. Robert Hunt, an English missionary who established Stanley Mission in 1851 with permission from the Hudson's Bay Company, the church was constructed between 1854 and 1860. Local Cree craftsmen built it using locally sourced lumber, while Hunt brought hardware and stained glass from England. Once the heart of a large missionary complex that included nearly 30 buildings and a cemetery, the church remains the oldest standing building in Saskatchewan. Though not the seat of a bishop, its impressive size, with a tall central nave and intricate spire, has earned it the nickname 'cathedral.'In 1970, Holy Trinity Anglican Church was designated a National Historic Site of Canada. It also became a provincially registered historic site on August 26, 1981. On June 10, 2010, a ceremony marked its 150th anniversary.

Ciuflea Monastery (Romanian: Mănăstirea Ciuflea) is an Orthodox monastery located in Chișinău, Moldova, dedicated to Saint Theodore of Amasea. Financed by Anastasie Ciufli (1801 - 1870) to fulfill the last wish of his brother Teodor Ciufli (1796 - 1854), both Aromanian merchants who migrated from Macedonia to Bessarabia in 1821. Anastasie initiated the construction of the church for his brother in 1854, and it was consecrated on June 6, 1858, with Teodor's remains placed in the south wing. Anastasie was also laid to rest beside his brother after his death, 11 years later. During 1962, several churches in the Moldavian SSR were closed or repurposed, and the Nativity Cathedral, Chișinău's main church, suffered a similar fate by being converted into an exhibition building. Consequently, the Moldova Church's headquarters relocated to the Ciuflea Monastery, which was granted cathedral status and renamed in honor of its benefactor. In 2002, about a decade after the Soviet Union's dissolution, it officially became a monastery.

The Zekate House was built in the 'kule' style for Beqir Zeko, a general administrator of Ali Pasha, around 1811-1812. The majestic appearance of this house is a symbol of the elite at the time. This house gives a complete understanding of both the vernacular architecture of the city and the lifestyle of local inhabitants centuries ago. The beautifully decorated 'oda' and 'cardak' at the center of the upper floor of the house are two of the most impressive living spaces. The prosperity of the era is reflected in the large number of dwellings built, many of which are preserved almost in their original state. New kule were built by all social strata, but the ones belonging to wealthy landlords were particularly impressive, like the Zekate House. Some say that the houses are oriented in such a way that owners could see their other properties in the valley below. Zekate House HistoryZekate House was built between 1811-1812 and it is a kind of tower house. It was named Zeko from the family name and was a gift to the head (owner) of this house Beqir Zeko. This house is a gift from Ali Pasha to Beqir Zeko, who was one of his trusted men and in his honor Ali Pasha built this house for him. From the right side, was built an establishment which called zanapa (the house that today lives the Zeko family) and is with two floors.'The kule style resembles our urban castles of the Middle Ages. Their primitive but interesting style is more Western than Eastern'. Johan Georg von Hahn (1854)

Petar Jakov Leva (Veli Lošinj, 1769 - Veli Lošinj, 1879). He was one of the most famous Lošinj captains as he was the first master from the eastern part of the Adriatic who sailed round the Cape Horn. His great accomplishment took place in 1834 on a brig called Ferdinando V Re d'Ungheria for the benefit of the Austrian Llloyd. He was also the first sailor from the Austrian Empire to initiate trade relations between Trieste and Chile. Equally successful was his participation in supplying the allied army during the Crimean War against Russia in 1854. He was married twice. With his second wife, Marija Budinić, sister of Captain Marco Antonio Budinić, he had as many as ten children, five of which became captains. He was also known as the most elegant Lošinj captain as he was very handsome, tall and slender. He and his lovely wife were considered the most beautiful married couple of the Lošinj maritime community in the middle of the 19th century. He comes from the renowned Veli Lošinj Leva family (De Leyva) originating from Spanish Galicia. In appreciation of their maritime, trade and war accomplishments, the eastern cape of the entrance into the Port of Veli Lošinj, where the port light is situated, was named Punta Leva.
