The Savudrija Lighthouse, situated near the village of the same name on the northern edge of the Istrian peninsula in Croatia, holds the distinction of being the country's oldest lighthouse. It's nestled close to the Slovenian border, marking the southern tip of the Gulf of Trieste. Referred to as Cape Savudrija or Punta Salvore in Italian, its pre-Second World War identity was the Punta Salvore Lighthouse. Constructed in 1818, this lighthouse stands as the Adriatic's oldest functioning beacon. While the Faro Napoleon in Barletta, Italy, dates back to 1807, it ceased operations and was replaced by a breakwater lighthouse in 1959. Originally illuminated by coal gas, a pioneering method at the time, the Savudrija Lighthouse encountered persistent issues, prompting a swift transition to an oil-fueled system despite the initial publicity surrounding the gas illumination. The Savudrija Lighthouse, designed by architect Pietro Nobile, began construction in 1817, funded through a share issue by the Trieste Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Francis I of Austria. Initially 19 meters tall, it later grew to 29 meters. In 2007, it was featured on Croatian stamps. Operated by Plovput, it offers holiday accommodation and is manned by lighthouse keepers, like Mario Milin Ungar from a long line of keepers. The light, 36m above sea level, flashes thrice every fifteen seconds, with a range of 30 nautical miles. Legend tells of Count Metternich building it for a Croatian lady he loved, who tragically passed away upon its completion, leading the Count never to return.

The lighthouse, positioned at Piran city's peninsula tip, rests on a Venetian wall bastion, likely restructured between the 16th and 17th centuries from a medieval structure. Notably, it displays coats of arms from 1617 and a 19th-century upper structure. Originally oil-powered, it now operates on electricity, being the sole lighthouse on Slovenia's coast, with a visibility of 11 nautical miles. The complex includes a neo-Gothic bell tower, the oldest in Slovenia, restored in 2008. Adjacent is the Baroque Our Lady of Health Church - Cerkev Marije Zdravja, built in the 18th century on an earlier church dedicated to Saint Clemente, protector of sailors. Notably, its original bas-relief resides in Saint George's church museum.

The Genoese Lighthouse, also known as Farul Genovez in Romanian, is a lighthouse and historical monument situated on the waterfront of Constanța, Romania, near the Constanța Casino. Positioned behind a group of statues featuring the bust of Mihai Eminescu, sculpted by Oscar Han, it adds to the scenic beauty of the area. Rising to a height of approximately eight meters, the lighthouse has a rectangular base that extends up to about three and a half meters before transitioning into an octagonal shape. Inside the lighthouse, there is a cylindrical space housing a stone spiral staircase. The structure rests on a two-step pedestal base and is crowned with eaves supported by brackets. The lantern room, which serves as both the roof and the metal housing for the lighthouse's beacon, completes the top section. Originally constructed around 1300 by the Genoese traders who engaged in port activities, the lighthouse played a crucial role in guiding ships within a range of about two nautical miles to the small port of Constanța. In the mid-19th century, between 1858 and 1860, the lighthouse was rebuilt by Artin Aslan, a French-Armenian engineer, under the commission of the British-owned Danube and Black Sea Railway Company. This restoration project aimed to pay tribute to the Genoese merchants who established a thriving sea trade community in the area.

The Sfântu Gheorghe naval lighthouse was commissioned in the year 1968. Positioned at the head of Sf. Gheorghe, its coordinates are φ = 44º53'57"N, λ = 29º36'01"E. The lighthouse structure is crafted from metal, taking the shape of two slightly twisted triangular prisms. It is adorned with stainless steel plates on two sides, while the other two sides are covered with polycarbonate plates. The lighthouse features a pair of white flashing lights, with a period of 7.2 seconds and a visibility range of 19 nautical miles. Standing tall at a height of 50 meters, the light is emitted from a building measuring 48 meters in height.

Lighthouse located on the western edge of Sīkrag village in Kolka parish by the Irbe strait of the Baltic Sea . The lighthouse was built in 1956. The lighthouse is a white rectangle on a latticed tower. The height of the lighthouse is 27 meters, the light height is 33 meters, and the visibility is 15 nautical miles . The flash fire is white, which comes on every 3 seconds.

Kolka Lighthouse is a lighthouse north of Cape Kolka on a man-made island. The lighthouse marks the eastern side of Irbe Strait. In 2008, the current lighthouse was opened on an artificially raised island at the end of a 6 km long shoal (at the time of construction, it was only 5 km from the coast). Stones for building the lighthouse were brought from Vidale across the Bažu bog and from Sāmsala by boat. A pair of range lights was built on the point of the cape in 1818 to guide ships around the offshore shoals. These proved inadequate so a lightship station was established in 1858. A temporary wooden lighthouse was lit offshore in 1875, well before completion of the permanent iron tower, which was built in Saint Petersburg and delivered by sea in parts. The height of the lighthouse is 21 m. The lighthouse consists of a round stone masonry tower with a double gallery and a lantern. The tower is red, the roof of the lantern is black. The light element is located 20 m above sea level. Light white (1 second on, 1 second off, 1 second on, 7 seconds off). The beacon can be seen at a distance of 10 nautical miles. The lighthouse operates all year round in the dark. On October 17, 2003, Latvian Post issued a stamp and a first-day envelope with the image of the Kolka lighthouse. The island is a popular resting place for migrating seabirds, especially gulls and cormorants. In July 2017, the nesting of the great auk in Latvia was proven for the first time in the artificial island of the Kolka lighthouse.

A number of ship collisions in the waters around the point led to the construction of a lighthouse and signaling station at Brockton Point. For a time, Brockton Point had a lighthouse keeper, who served for 25 years starting in 1855 and is credited for having saved 16 people from drowning. The present day lighthouse tower with an automatic light was built in 1914. It was designed by British Landscape Architect Thomas Hayton Mawson, who also constructed the lifeboat house located below the point and other Stanley Park landmarks.
